Information of Midterm Exam #3
This midterm is a proctored, closed-book exam that will be administered in class through D2L. You must bring your laptop to the classroom and complete the exam within the scheduled class period.
- Coverage: All topics covered from week #8 to week #11 (from the concepts of testing hypothesis to one-sample, two-sample, and paired t tests).
- Exam Schedule:
Thursday, 4/9/26
- Format: This is a in class proctored close-book and note exam.
- 1. The exam is comprised of 25 multiple-choice questions only; there are no word problems. Everyone will have a unique set of problems with similar types.
- 2. The exam will be on D2L and must be completed in the classroom during the regular class meeting time. Please bring your laptop to the classroom on the scheduled exam day. Caution: This is not a distance education exam that you can take anywhere. You must take it on campus in the regular classroom.
- Length: You will have 75 minutes to complete the exam. Extensions are not available.
- Logistics: You are expected to bring the following items to the exam:
- 1. A laptop that can connect to internet;
- 2. A (scientific or graphing) calculator;
- 3. A formula sheet with only formula only;
- 4. A copy of the normal table
- 5. A few sheets of scratch paper
- Resources Not Available During the Exam:
- 1. Course webpage (including lecture notes, practice exercises, answer keys, etc)
- 2. ISLA apps will be disabled;
- Make-up exam: There will be no makeup midterm exam unless:
1. You provide a university approved documented proof verifying an unavoidable absence; and
2. You contact me before the scheduled exam.
If approved, the makeup must be completed within one week of the original exam date. Refer to the syllabus for the full policy. Emails requesting to re-open an exam without this documentation will be ignored.
