Information of Midterm Exam #2

 This midterm exam is administered remotely via D2L. It may be taken from any location during the time frame specified below.

• Coverage: All topics covered from week #5 to week #7 (Sampling distribution and confidence intervals).


• Time: The exam will be administered through D2L. You can start the exam any time between 8:00 AM (Thursday, 2/5/2026) and 10:00 PM (Thursday, 3/5/2026). Once you start the exam, the clock starts counting down. You have to submit the exam within 120 minutes! The exam will automatically close after 120 minutes.
  Note: For those who have requested accommodations, your extended time will be adjusted on D2L as specified in your accommodation letter.


• Format: There will be 35 multiple-choice questions only. Everyone will have a slightly different problem set with similar problems.


• Length: The exam duration is 120 minutes. Extensions are not available.


• Logistics:To make the best use of the 120-minute exam period, please prepare the following:
•  1.   A prepared formula sheet.
•  2.   A scientific or graphing calculator.
•  3.   Printed statistical tables from the course website.


• Make-up exam: There will be no makeup midterm exam unless:
         1. You provide a university approved documented proof verifying an unavoidable absence; and
         2. You contact me before the scheduled exam.
  If approved, the makeup must be completed within one week of the original exam date. Refer to the syllabus for the full policy. Emails requesting to re-open an exam without this documentation will be ignored.
