Information of Midterm Exam #1

  • Coverage: The exam will assess all material from this week (Topics 1, 2, and 3), focusing on descriptive statistics and fundamental probability concepts.

  • Time: The exam will be administered through D2L. You can begin anytime between 12:00 PM Friday and 9:30 PM Sunday. Once you start, the D2L timer will begin counting your 120-minute exam period. You must submit before time expires, as the system will automatically close the exam after 120 minutes.

  • Format: The exam consists of about 35 multiple-choice questions. Each student will receive a slightly different problem set with similar questions.

  • Length: The exam has a strict 120-minute time limit. No extensions will be granted, as you are given a 2.5-day window to start the exam. If you have requested accommodation through the Office of Educational Accessibility (OEA), your exam duration will be automatically adjusted based on the recommended time in your accommodation letter.

  • Logistics: To ensure you have the full 120 minutes to complete the exam, prepare a formula sheet in advance and have a scientific or graphing calculator ready.

  • Make-up Exam. No make-up exams will be offered, as you have a 2.5-day window to start the exam.
